Privacy Policy

ExamReady (a DBA of Fireside WiFi LLC) publishes the Airworthy, OnAir, OnScene, and OnRoute exam-prep apps for iOS and Android, and their web versions at examready.io (each, the "App"). This policy explains what data our Apps and this website collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The short version

Your study progress stays on your device. The Apps do not require an account, show no ads, and have no server of their own. The iOS and Android Apps use Google Firebase Analytics to count anonymous usage events (for example, app opens, paywall views, and purchases) so we can improve the Apps and measure our marketing. That data is not linked to your name, email, or any account, and we do not sell it or use it to show you ads.

What we collect

On your device (never sent to us)

  • Your chosen display name.
  • Quiz attempts, scores, and unit mastery progress.
  • Flashcard spaced-repetition state.
  • XP, streak, and badge achievements.
  • Your local reminder time and notification preferences.

All of the above is stored in the App's local storage on your device. If you delete the App, this data is erased.

Usage analytics (iOS and Android Apps)

The iOS and Android Apps include Google Firebase Analytics, provided by Google LLC. It records a small set of events: app opens, paywall views, purchase started and completed, a limited-time offer starting, and a study unit being mastered. With each event it sends basic technical details (such as app version, device model, operating system, and approximate country derived from your IP address) and a random identifier for this app installation. On Android, Firebase may also read your device's Google advertising ID; we use it only for analytics and conversion measurement, never to show you ads. On iOS the Apps do not request tracking permission and do not access the advertising identifier (IDFA).

We use this data only in aggregate: to see which features are used, to find problems, and to measure whether our App Store and Google Play campaigns lead to people actually studying and purchasing. It is not linked to your identity. Google processes it under Google's Privacy Policy. On iOS, the Apps also report coarse milestones (such as returning for a second session, mastering a unit, or purchasing) through Apple's SKAdNetwork, which Apple aggregates and delays so that no individual user can be identified.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by the store you buy from: Apple (App Store, via your Apple ID), Google (Google Play, via your Google account), or, for web versions that offer a web purchase, Stripe. The payment provider processes your payment details; we never see your card number, and on iOS and Android the receipt is validated on your device. Tapping Restore Purchases asks the store to return a previous purchase tied to your account. Each provider's own privacy policy governs the payment: Apple, Google, Stripe.

This website

examready.io uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic (pages viewed, referring sites, approximate location, and device type). It sets cookies in your browser for this purpose. You can block these with your browser's cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

What we do NOT collect

  • No personal identifiers (name, email, phone, address).
  • No accounts, social login, or third-party sign-in.
  • No location data beyond the approximate country noted above.
  • No contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.
  • No ads, and no selling or sharing of data with data brokers.

Notifications

If you enable the daily study reminder, the App schedules local notifications that fire on your device at the time you choose. Your device's operating system generates and delivers them; no server is involved and no reminder data leaves your device.

Children

Our Apps are intended for users 16 and older (the minimum age to hold a Part 107 remote pilot certificate, and a reasonable minimum for the other professional exams we support). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your rights

We don't maintain user accounts or a server-side profile of you, so there is no central database from which to export or delete your data. To erase your locally stored progress, use the Reset progress button on the You tab in the App, or delete the App from your device. Deleting the App also discards its analytics installation identifier; Google keeps previously collected analytics events only for our configured retention period.

For purchase records, contact the store you bought from (Apple, Google, or Stripe) through your account settings.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy at examready.io/privacy with a new effective date, and, when the change is significant, display an in-app notice before continued use.
